Callam Hibbitt was found guilty at the Derby Crown Court of stealing over PS37,000 by abusing his position.
After a falling-out with the director of his roofing company, the 32 year-old created false invoices in just over a month and paid them to himself.

Joey Kwong said that Hibbitt worked at Roof and Trims Direct Ltd., which is based in Shaftesbury Street Pear Tree Derby. He said he had a romantic relationship with one director, but that “some unsavoury video clips caused a fallout” which resulted in his termination.
Investigations revealed that Hibbitt had submitted false invoices for Lockshop Direct, SKS Ltd and a fraud totaling more than PS37,000.
Police said that Mr Hibbitt claimed that the entire amount was legitimate and that the items he purchased for his company were paid from his personal bank account.
A victim impact statement states that they were “repaid horribly” for helping and supporting the defendant.
He has been convicted of burglary, theft and fraud. He also admitted that the frauds violated an order of suspended sentences he was given in 2017 due to dangerous driving, among other motoring offenses.
Scothern said that his client had two adopted children and another two children. Hibbitt and the victim were in a romantic relationship, and there were threats made against them to reveal their relationship. “He is now working as a milk delivery driver.”
As part of his suspended sentence, Judge Smith ordered Hibbitt attend 20 sessions of probation counseling.
