Alexandria Junior/Senior High School undergoes renovations.
As of Monday, the auxiliary gymnasium and athletic hall have been brandished.
Mike Montgomery of KrM Architecture estimated that the work on branding would cost between $100,000 and $215,000.
Cost estimates could not be provided with precision.
According to Melissa Brisco, the funds are derived from Rainy Day Funds, Operations and Leftover Referendum funds.
Brisco stated that this project will cost between $700,000 and $800,000 when completed.
The project is funded by Common School Loans (CSL) and ESSERI III.
In addition to the projects mentioned above, several restrooms in the high school will be renovated.
Brisco stated that the restrooms and library were left overs of the 2019 campus merger.
Brisco was unable to provide an estimate for the project. The two restrooms are expected to be finished by August.
The main gym will receive an estimated renovation of $2,04 million.
In June, the school board approved Brisco’s bond issue.
Belvia Gray is a principal of Baker Tilly, an Indianapolis-based school. She said that the school can borrow as much as $2,39 million by March.
Brisco announced that a bond with a value of more than $2,3 million will be offered for sale the week beginning August 20.
Funds from this sale will go to the school for the purpose of funding the new gym.
