In an incident which has caused concern among the community, criminals entered the school by sneaking up on the roof. They seized the food meant for the students.
Directors of Roberto Robles de Algarrobal Education Institution located in El Banco reported the theft only discovered at the start of school the following day.
Criminals caused roof damage in order to gain access to the school and then went straight to the kitchen to steal the food from the School Feeding Plan.
The items stolen included boxes of pasta, oil, lentils and cassava as well as other essentials such as garlic, cleaning products like washing powder, and even some staples.
