Qman JunYong was a content creator who never thought that a quick stop in a bathroom at Oxley Residence could lead to him being stuck inside the toilet for nearly one and half hours.
He tried to open the lock in the bathroom, but someone saved him. The condo management allegedly demanded that he pay the damage to the lock.
JunYong, who recorded the whole ordeal on TikTok and shared it with his friends Tuesday (March 28, 2019), described in detail what he went through.
JunYong was also an event coordinator and had been invited to a balloon sculpture event at Oxley Residence. However, she arrived late after locking herself in the bathroom at the parking lot around 12:30 pm.
The toilet is completely empty and I am trapped in it. It gets worse: there is no internet or mobile signal! “Oh, I’m not sure what to do.”
He can be seen in the video using a “milk strength” pole and a balloon-pump to smash the lock on the toilet door.
The door lock was stubbornly stuck, and he had to knock down the handle.
JunYong, drenched in sweat, can be seen uttering, “I am really tired. I’m not sure how much longer I can go. My event has already begun 15 minutes.”
Later, he slipped out a tape labeled “Help” and hoped that someone would notice it. Then he prayed twice and asked for assistance. Someone eventually heard him. Around 2pm, he was released.
He was still sweating and recalling his desperation when a condo representative called and asked him to pay for damages done to the door of the toilet.
Then, I said to the man: There was no signal in (the toilet), it is a life or death matter. The toilet was so hot that I thought I would die. “I thought that it was unreasonable.”
I was also surprised. I too was locked in. Had I 4G and the signal, I’d have definitely made a call. “You know the feeling of being helpless,” said he.
JunYong said, “I’m not sure how much I need to pay and I am hoping they show me mercy and waive that fee.”
The customer, he said, was also understanding of his situation and didn’t get angry with him. He even agreed to change the date.
A woman was locked in her toilet in November 2022 for 4 days after the handle fell off.
She was rescued eventually by two officers after a family member reported her as missing.
