The flooding that caused extensive damages in Primorsky territory in Russia’s Far East has led to the declaration of a state of regional emergency by Governor Oleg Kozomyako on Tuesday.
Primorye has instituted a regional crisis regime because the damage caused by the floods is so great that municipal resources cannot cope with the situation. In a video, he stated that the regional emergency system would allow him to provide more support for those affected by flooding.
